Western Isles Strongest man is held annually at the village of Tong on the island of Lewis and Harris.[1] It is usually held in conjunction with the local Highland Games where the heavy athletes compete against each other over the coveted title, a trophy and prize money. The winners follow in the footsteps of famous strongmen Angus MacAskill and Angus Graham.
The competition usually starts at 4:30 pm and aims to finish at 5:30 pm.
